To help keep this recipe low in points I used Sara Lee 45-calorie bread. It’s only 1 point per slice.
I also left out the butter. Using olive oil spray in my non-stick pan worked just as good.
How to make Orange French Toast:
You need an orange for this recipe, I used a navel orange. You need some of the zest from the orange and also the juice.
In a shallow dish add the skim milk, egg, vanilla extract, pinch of cinnamon, orange zest and juice. Whisk it all together.

Dip both sides of the bread in the egg mixture and add to a pre-heated skillet.
Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown.
Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.
I like to serve my Orange French Toast with sugar free maple syrup and a little bit of fat free Reddi Wip. It’s so good!
For a big, filling and low point breakfast you can also serve it with a bowl of fruit and scrambled eggs. It’s like a hungry man meal!
