These easy Pizza Pinwheels are made with store-bought dough and can be filled with your favorite toppings!
They’re great for an appetizer or snack, and they’ve been lightened up.

Even though these are WW friendly they are also kid friendly and perfect for any party.
How I lightened up Pizza Pinwheels:
I bought Pillsbury thin crust pizza dough instead of regular pizza dough. It’s about 8 total points lighter.
Instead of using regular pepperoni I used turkey pepperoni. 18 slices of pepperoni is only 2 points and I thing it tastes just like regular pepperoni.
The cheese I used was part-skim mozzarella shredded cheese. It’s lighter than regular mozzarella but it tastes great and still melts.
How to make Pizza Pinwheels:
Lightly flour your work surface. Open the pizza dough and unroll it.
I used a rolling pin to roll out the dough.
Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder on the pizza dough.
Next, add the mozzarella cheese, leaving a one inch border around the dough. This will help to roll up the dough.
Top with the turkey pepperoni.
Roll up the long side of the dough and seal the edges.
Use a sharp knife and cut into 14 pieces. I did this by cutting in the middle, then cut each piece in the middle and keep going until I had 14 pieces.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add the pinwheels. Leave room in between since they will expand.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden.
I serve my pizza pinwheels with pizza sauce for dipping.
Other zero point toppings to add:
- Green or red peppers
- Onions
- Mushrooms
- Tomatoes
- Arugula
- Spinach
Make sure the toppings are chopped into small pieces so the pizza dough is easy to roll.
