These crescent rolls are perfect for an appetizer or side dish!
They’re made with fresh asparagus, prosciutto and crescent rolls. I brushed them with an egg wash and topped with everything bagel seasoning.

Recently I was out to eat and I had a pasta dish with a crispy piece of prosciutto on it. It was delicious!
I knew I needed to make something with prosciutto.
How I kept this light:
Instead of using regular crescent rolls, I used reduced fat crescent rolls. It helped to save one point for each crescent roll.
For the prosciutto I cut each piece in half, it was about .5 oz. per slice.
Instead of brushing the crescent rolls with melted butter, I used egg wash.
How to make Asparagus and Prosciutto Crescent Rolls:
I added water to a medium saucepan and brought it to a boil.
You need 24 pieces of asparagus, about 1 lb. Cut the woody end of the asparagus off then add the good part to the boiling water.
Boil the asparagus for 5 minutes then add to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
Take the asparagus out of the water and set it on a paper towel to dry off.
Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the dough into 8 pieces.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place one crescent roll down. Wrap three pieces of asparagus with a slice of prosciutto.

Roll up the crescent roll going from the wide end to the narrow end.
Brush on the egg wash.

Then sprinkle on the everything bagel seasoning.

Repeat until all 8 are done.
Bake for 9-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
