This is a delicious sweet and salty snack to have on hand!
The salty popcorn mixed with the sweetness of the chocolate is so good together.
It’s great for movie night, parties, a snack or dessert.

There’s a few things I did to keep this recipe light. The first was I bought plain yellow popcorn kernels.
No butter added, regular popcorn kernels. You can use an air popper if you have one, or the microwave works great too.
All you need to make it in the microwave is a paper bag. I added the popcorn kernels to the bag then folded the top over two times so the popcorn stays in the bag.
Microwave the kernels on high for 2-3 minutes, just like regular microwave popcorn.
To keep the Chocolate M&M Popcorn light I used Hershey’s sugar free special dark mini bars.
I also limited the amount of M&M’s that I used. 20 M&Ms was 5 points, so I didn’t want to use more than that.
You could also use mini M&M’s if you want it to seem like there are more M&Ms.
To add some extra salty crunch I added 1 tablespoon of peanuts that were chopped into small pieces.
How to make Chocolate M&M Popcon:
The first thing I did was popped the popcorn. Once it’s done add it to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Add the Hershey’s sugar free special dark chocolates to a microwave safe bowl. I melted it at 50% power for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
Once the chocolate is melted you drizzle it over the popcorn. I used a spoon to stir the popcorn to get it all covered in chocolate.
Next I added the M&Ms and the peanuts.
You can either use a knife to roughly chop the peanuts or put them in a zip up bag and use a meat mallet or rolling pin to break up the peanuts.
It’s a fun treat that’s also WW friendly!
