This Chili Cheese Dip is the perfect appetizer for the big game!
It only takes 5 minutes to prepare and only 3 ingredients. It couldn’t be any easier.

This recipe calls for Hormel chili (no beans), cream cheese and cheddar cheese.
To lighten it up I used reduced fat cream cheese and reduced fat cheddar cheese.
Those two small changes saved a whopping 20 points off of the recipe.
How to make Chili Cheese Dip:
You want the cream cheese to be room temperature. If you forget to leave the cream cheese out you can microwave it. I did 50% power for 40 seconds.
The first step is to spread the cream cheese in a baking dish or pie dish. Spread it to cover the bottom in an even layer.

Next you’re going to top the cream cheese with the chili. You want this in an even layer as well.

The final layer is the cheddar cheese.

Now it’s off to the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
For an extra pop of flavor you can top the dip with green onions.
Even though this dip only takes about 3 minutes to prepare you can also make it ahead of time. Just cover with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to bake it.
What should you serve with Chili Cheese Dip? If you want to keep the points low you can serve it with celery sticks.
There is so much flavor in the dip alone and the celery adds a nice little crunch.
You could also make homemade tortilla chips using a low point tortilla.
Then there’s the classics – tortilla chips and Fritos.
I like to serve a little of each so there’s something for everyone.
