I had some leftover ground beef that I wasn’t sure what to do with. It was lunch time and I wanted a sandwich.
I came up with this Ground Beef Grilled Cheese. It’s kind of a cross between a patty melt and sloppy joe.
It was filling and tasty!

How to make a Ground Beef Grilled Cheese:
I was only working with 4 ounces of ground beef. It was perfect for two sandwiches.
Add the ground beef and chopped onion to a skillet on medium heat. Season it with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Brown the beef and drain the grease. I poured the beef into a small bowl and cleaned out the nonstick skillet.
The only cheese I had was shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese. I added 1/4 cup of cheese to each sandwich and topped the cheese with the ground beef.
To help keep the points low, I didn’t spread butter on the bread. Instead, I sprayed the pan with olive oil spray and added the sandwich.
Cook each side of the sandwich for 3-4 minutes, or until it’s golden brown.
I served my sandwich with pickles since they’re zero points.

Yield: 2 sandwiches (each serving is one sandwich)
