Guilt-Free Green Bean Casserole
Green Bean Casserole is always a hit during the holidays.
It’s versatile and can be paired with a variety of main dishes, from roasted meats to vegetarian options.
With healthier ingredient swaps you can enjoy the same comforting flavors that make Green Bean Casserole a holiday favorite.

The Ingredients
Green Beans: I used French style canned green beans. It’s what my Mom always used so I stuck with what I knew.
Cream of Mushroom: To lighten the recipe up I used 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup. It’s a small change that lowers the points without sacrificing flavor.
Milk: Instead of using regular milk I used skim milk, another small change to lower the points.
Crispy Fried Onions: No Green Bean Casserole is complete without the crispy onion topping. This is where the majority of the points come from.
Seasonings: I seasoned the casserole with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

Place it back in the oven for 5 minutes or until the crispy fried onions turn golden.
Serving Suggestions
Green Bean Casserole is the perfect side dish. It goes well with roasted turkey, glazed ham, or herb-stuffed chicken.
For a festive touch, garnish your casserole with fresh herbs just before serving. A sprinkle of chopped parsley, chives, or thyme can add a pop of color and a burst of fresh flavor, enhancing both the look and taste of the dish.
