Easy, delicious, fresh bagels made right in your kitchen!
Using the two ingredient dough makes these bagels low in points and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack.
The Ingredients
Self rising flour: Self rising flour consists of flour, baking powder, and salt.
The baking powder acts as the leavening agent so there’s no need for yeast or additional baking powder.
If you don’t have self rising flour you can add the baking powder and salt. I’ll include the amounts on the recipe card.
Fat free Greek yogurt: It’s packed with protein and infuses the dough with moisture.
Greek yogurt also contains probiotics which is great for digestion and gut health.
Dried minced onion: This is the topping that adds a pop of flavor and a little crunch. No onion bagel is complete without it!
Onion powder: This is optional, but I added it to the bagel dough for a little extra onion flavor.

How to Make Easy Onion Bagels
Add the flour and onion powder to a medium mixing bowl and whisk together.
Now add the Greek yogurt to the mixing bowl and use a rubber spatula to mix together.
Once mixed, add the dough to a floured surface. Knead the dough until it is combined.
Divide the dough into four pieces. Roll each dough piece into a log, then from a circle and seal the ends together.
Place the bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Whisk together an egg with 2 tablespoons of water. Brush the egg wash over each bagel. Top each one with the dried onions.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the bagels are golden.
Serving Suggestions
Nothing is more classic than cream cheese on a bagel. Keep it low in points by using reduced fat cream cheese.
These bagels are perfect for making a sandwich. Load it up with oven roasted turkey (0 points) and veggies for a low point lunch.
Toast the bagel and add chicken salad or tuna salad. You’ll have a lunch packed with protein to help keep you full longer.
