Traditional turkey sandwiches may be the go-to for using up those Thanksgiving leftovers, but why not take it to the next level with a grilled twist?
Introducing the ultimate Thanksgiving sandwich remix: the Grilled Turkey & Cranberry Creation.
This mouth-watering sandwich combines classic flavors of a Thanksgiving meal in one delectable and easy-to-make sandwich.

Ingredient Breakdown:
Let’s talk about the star of the sandwich – the leftover roasted turkey. The juicy, tender meat adds a savory element to the sandwich, reminiscent of the Thanksgiving feast.
The turkey can be sliced or shredded, depending on your preference, but either way, it adds a hearty and satisfying element to the sandwich.
I used turkey breast with the skin removed to keep it low in WW points.
Next up is the tangy cranberry sauce. This classic Thanksgiving condiment adds a burst of sweetness and tartness to the sandwich, balancing out the richness of the turkey and cheese.
The cranberry sauce can be homemade or store-bought, but either way, it’s a crucial component that takes this sandwich to the next level.
And finally, the gooey melted cheese. This is what holds the sandwich together and adds a comforting creaminess.
I used ultra-thin sliced Swiss cheese to enhance the flavors of the turkey and cranberry while keeping it low in points.
When these ingredients are layered between two slices of bread and grilled to perfection, the result is an easy lunch that is both comforting and nostalgic.
The flavors of Thanksgiving are reimagined in this grilled sandwich, creating a magical combination that will leave you craving it long after the holiday season.

Making a Turkey and Cranberry Grilled Cheese:
A great way to keep this sandwich low in points is by skipping the butter on the bread. If you have a good nonstick pan you don’t even need the butter.
Lay one slice of bread on a cutting board and spread a generous layer of cranberry sauce on top. This will add a burst of flavor and moisture to the sandwich.
Then, layer on the sliced or shredded turkey, ensuring an even distribution across the bread. The turkey is the star of the show, so be generous with your portions.
Now, it’s time to add the cheese. Place a slice of cheese on top of the turkey, making sure it covers the entire surface. This will hold the sandwich together and add a creamy element.
Finally, top it all off with the remaining slice of bread and press the sandwich together gently.
Now it’s time to grill your masterpiece. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
Once the sandwich is perfectly grilled, remove it from the pan and let it cool for a minute or two. This will allow the flavors to meld together and prevent any burning of your mouth.
Finally, cut the sandwich in half, take a bite, and savor the delicious combination of flavors. The tangy cranberry sauce, savory turkey, and melty cheese come together in the ultimate Thanksgiving sandwich remix.
