This is a delicious and easy appetizer, perfect for the holidays or game day!
It’s also perfect for a light but filling lunch.

I love that pinwheels can be made ahead of time. I’ll make them the day before, then all I have to do is cut them once guests arrive.
How I lightened up Italian Pinwheels:
The first thing I changed was the tortilla. I used Mission Carb Balance Tortillas. Two tortillas was only 4 points.
Instead of using cream cheese I used Laughing Cow creamy light swiss cheese wedges. Four wedges was only 4 points and it was enough for two whole tortillas.
The other nice thing about using Laughing Cow cheese was I didn’t have to wait for the cream cheese to be room temperature. The Laughing Cow cheese spreads easily right out of the fridge.
I mixed the cheese with Good Seasons zesty Italian dressing mix.
I loaded up these pinwheels with pepperoni, but not regular pepperoni. I used turkey pepperoni which is much lower in points.
To me, the Hormel turkey pepperoni tastes just like regular pepperoni. It’s really good!
Using ultra thin sliced provolone cheese also helped to save points. Two slices is only 3 points.
The other ingredients were zero points. I chose banana peppers and red pepper.
How to make Italian Pinwheels:
I started by adding four Laughing Cow wedges to a small bowl and mixing it with 1/2 teaspoon of Good Seasons zesty Italian dressing mix.
Lay out a tortilla then add half of the cheese mixture. Make sure to evenly spread the cheese on the tortilla.
Next I topped the cheese mixture with 13 turkey pepperoni.
I cut the slice of ultra thin provolone cheese in half then added it to the tortilla so it lays from the top to bottom.
Then I topped the tortillas with red pepper and banana peppers. I’ve also done red onion which was really good.
Roll up the tortilla as tight as possible then wrap it in saran wrap.
Repeat all of the steps with the second tortilla.
Place both roll-ups in the fridge for 1 hour before cutting. I made six pinwheels out of each tortilla, so a total of 12.
