You’re going to love this easy side dish!
I think adding bacon to anything makes it better, right?
If you’re a vegetarian you probably disagree. 🙂

You can use fresh or frozen broccoli for this recipe. If you use frozen you’ll want to let it thaw overnight in the fridge, that way it’s not watery.

What you need to make Chopped Broccoli with Bacon:
- Broccoli
- Center cut bacon
- Onion
- Garlic
- Parmesan Cheese
- Olive oil spray
The first thing I did was cooked the bacon. Once it was done I put the bacon on paper towel to get rid of the excess grease.
Cut the bacon into bite size pieces and set aside.
I used a large nonstick skillet for this recipe which I sprayed with olive oil spray.
Next I added the onions and cooked them until they were somewhat translucent. I added the garlic and cooked one more minute.
Add the broccoli to the pan and let it cook for 8 minutes.
Stir in the bacon and Parmesan cheese then serve.
If you like a little bit of spice you can add red pepper flakes.
