I could eat pasta every day. The only thing better than regular pasta is topping it with cheese and baking it.
It’s quick and easy comfort food that you’re going to love!
To help keep the points low I made a quick homemade marinara sauce.

This Baked Ziti is meatless but you could easily add in lean ground beef or ground turkey.

Not only is this dish Weight Watchers friendly but it’s kid friendly too!
How to make Baked Ziti:
The first thing I did was added the crushed tomatoes to a medium saucepan. Most jarred pasta sauce has points. These crushed tomatoes are 0 points.
You can add tons of flavor just by adding in seasonings.
I added garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.

Once the sauce starts to simmer cover it with a lid and reduce the heat to low.
While the sauce is cooking you want to boil the ziti noodles and cook and drain them according to the package directions.

Don’t overcook the noodles since you will also be baking them.
Once the noodles are done cooking turn the heat off of the sauce. Stir in 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese.
Mix the noodles and sauce together. Spray the bottom of a 4-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray and add the noodle mixture.

Top the noodles with 1 cup of part-skim mozzarella cheese (shredded).
Bake for 15-20 minutes, once the cheese is fully melted.
This Baked Ziti is a comfort-food classic!
You can add red pepper flakes, fresh parsley or basil, whatever you like with your favorite pasta dish.

This was an awesome recipe! My daughter had baked ziti a few weeks ago at a restaurant and she’s been wanting it since. I decided to make it for her yesterday because I may or may not have caused her to smash a finger when we were preparing to get our cabinets refinished… she loved the baked ziti, but her finger is still a little sore. Hopefully, I made up for it a little but I’m thinking I may need to get her a molten from Chilis or something! Thanks for the recipe!
350 degrees?
Sorry about that, yes. I added it to the recipe card.
