This Weight Watchers Chili is made with ground beef and only 4 points per serving for blue, green and purple!
I like chili with ground beef or ground turkey, but I know some people don’t care for ground turkey.
You could easily swap out the ground beef in this recipe for ground turkey if you want to make it less points.
I made this chili based on ingredients I had in my house. That’s why it’s only 2 servings, I only had a 1/2 pound of ground beef.
This recipe can easily be doubled if you are feeding the family.
You could also add beans to it. I don’t really care for beans in my chili so I left them out.
Of course chili tastes delicious if you add some toppings to it. I like to add a little bit of cheese, green onions and sour cream if I have it. Just make sure to add additional points if you use cheese or sour cream.
I let the chili simmer for 20 minutes. You could always let it cook longer if you want.
Yield: 2 servings (approximately 2 cups per serving, 4 points per serving for blue, green and purple)
- 1/2 lb. 95% lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (omit if you don't want it spicy)
- 1 (14 1/2 oz) can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 (14 1/2 oz) can of tomato sauce
- Splash of Worcestershire sauce
In a medium pot brown the ground beef with the onions and garlic.
Drain the liquid and add the salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika and cayenne pepper. Stir until until it is mixed with the ground beef.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and splash of Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes, then serve.
