Apple Pie Wontons
Stuffing wontons with apple pie filling gives you a delicious dessert while saving a ton of points.
Wonton wrappers are typically made with wheat flour, eggs, and water. Pie crust is made with flour, butter, salt, and water.
You can have three wonton wrappers for only 2 points!

I also managed to keep the apple pie filling low in points so it’s a perfect low point dessert.
The Ingredients
Wonton Wrappers: I can usually find them in the refrigerated section of my grocery store.
I like using them because they are low in calories, carbs, and fat.
Apples: Granny Smith apples are usually my go-to for dessert recipes.
They’re great for baking because they are firm and won’t turn into mush when cooked.
Lemon Juice: Using fresh lemon juice with the apples prevents the apples from turning brown.
Cinnamon: Adding cinnamon to apples enhances the flavor. Apple pie filling isn’t the same without it.
Brown Sugar: I limited the amount of brown sugar to keep the points low. There’s just enough to add the nutty and caramel like flavor.
Granulated Splenda: I used this instead of sugar to lower the points. Feel free to use your sweetener of choice.

How to Make Apple Pie Wontons
Begin by peeling and chopping the apples. I cut the apples smaller than I normally would so enough would fit in the wonton wrapper.
Add the apples to a mixing bowl and stir in the lemon juice.
Next, add the brown sugar, Splenda, and cinnamon to a bowl. Mix together, pour over the apples, and stir together.

Lay out the wonton wrapper and add a teaspoon of the apple pie filling. Add water to a small bowl, dip your finger in the water, then rub it around the perimeter of the wonton wrapper.

Fold the wonton in half and seal it closed.

Repeat the process until all of the wontons are made.
Place the filled wontons in the air fryer in a single layer. Spray with cooking spray and air fry at 350 degrees F for 5-6 minutes.
You will probably need to cook the wontons in more than one batch depending on the size of your air fryer.
Let the apple pie wontons cool slightly before sprinkling on powdered sugar.

Serving Suggestions
I like to serve my apple pie wontons with fat-free whipped cream.
These apple pie wontons also taste great with sugar free caramel sauce.
