Asian Meatballs

These meatballs are packed with delicious Asian flavors and they’re low in points!

You can serve these Asian Meatballs as the main course or even an appetizer.

My daughter loves Chinese dumplings. She said these meatballs have the same delicious flavors of her dumplings.

A lot of Asian Meatball recipes use ground pork. One lb. of ground pork is 33 points!

Instead, I used Laura’s lean ground beef (which is 96% lean). With the current Weight Watchers plan, it’s 0 points.

You could also use ground turkey.

How to make Asian Meatballs:

In a large bowl add the ground beef, green onions, garlic, ground ginger, sesame oil, egg and Panko breadcrumbs.

Mix it all together and form into 24 balls.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add the meatballs.

I baked the meatballs at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. The meatballs should have an internal temperature of 160 degrees.

While the meatballs were baking I prepared the sauce. I added the soy sauce, garlic, ginger and sesame oil to a small saucepan over medium heat.

In a small bowl mix together the rice vinegar and cornstarch, then add it to the saucepan.

Let the sauce come to a simmer while stirring occasionally. Once the sauce has thickened remove it from the heat.

When you take the meatballs out of the oven add them to the sauce and stir together.

There are 4 meatballs per serving. Click here to view your Weight Watchers points and track it on your app.

What to serve with Asian Meatballs:

Since these meatballs are so low in points I like to serve them with jasmine rice.

If you want to keep them low in points you could serve them with riced cauliflower.

Egg drop soup is another great option, plus it’s also low in points.

Thai cucumber salad is also delicious and low in points.

You could also make steamed broccoli or an Asian slaw.
