Coleslaw is a great side dish for any BBQ!
I love serving coleslaw with pulled pork sandwiches. Surprisingly it’s only 7 points and very filling.
Of course coleslaw is also great with hamburgers or grilled chicken.

To keep this recipe easy I buy the coleslaw mix already cut up. You can cut up your own if you want – you need cabbage and carrots.
There are a couple of things I did to keep this coleslaw recipe low in points. One was to use light mayonnaise instead of regular mayonnaise.
Another was to limit the amount of sugar I used. I only added 2 tablespoons of sugar.
This coleslaw recipe makes 8 servings. It’s 2 points per serving for blue, green and purple.
Here’s what you need:
- 16 oz. coleslaw mix
- 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons skim milk
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
- Salt and pepper
To start I combined all of the dressing ingredients in a bowl. The mayonnaise, milk, sugar, vinegar, celery seed, salt and pepper.
Next I added the dressing to the coleslaw mix in a larger bowl. I stirred it up, covered it then let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.
Coleslaw definitely tastes better if you let it sit in the fridge before serving.
If you have leftover coleslaw you can store it in the fridge for a couple of days. It might start to get a little runny so make sure to stir it up before eating.

Yield: 8 servings (2 points per serving for blue, green and purple)
- 16 oz. coleslaw mix
- 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons skim milk

Add the coleslaw mix to a large mixing bowl. Pour the dressing over the coleslaw and stir together. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
