Tomato Cream Sauce

This Tomato Cream Sauce comes together in just a few minutes but tastes like it was cooking all day!

It tastes great with pasta, tortellini or ravioli. It’s also good with grilled chicken or shrimp.

You can also use it for meal prep. Just keep it in an airtight container in the fridge until you’re ready to eat it.

This sauce is also low in points. Click here to view your WW Personal Points and track it on your app.

There are a couple of things I did to lighten up this Tomato Cream Sauce. The first was to limit the amount of olive oil I used.

One teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil is only 1 point.

Instead of using heavy cream, I used fat-free half & half. That saved a whopping 20 points!

How to make Tomato Cream Sauce:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and let it heat up.

Add the diced onion and let it cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Next, add the minced garlic. Use fresh garlic, not the stuff in the jar. It makes a huge difference!

Stir for 30 seconds, until the garlic is fragrant.

Pour in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, salt and black pepper. Stir the ingredients together.

Add the Parmesan cheese and half and half, stir together and heat through.

To add a little bit of heat you can add red pepper flakes.

You can also add fresh basil or parsley.
