These Easy Refried Beans only take 15 minutes to make and they’re way better than the canned stuff!
I love that they’re a healthy and filling side dish. Plus there’s so many ways to eat them!
Of course they’re great with tacos, burritos or quesadillas.

I love putting refried beans on tostadas. For breakfast, lunch or dinner!
For breakfast I add refried beans to a tostada then top it with an egg. It’s a filling breakfast!

How to make Easy Refried Beans:
I bought two (15.5 oz.) cans of pinto beans. You want to drain and rinse them.
Add oil to a medium size pan then sauté finely chopped onion until translucent.
Next stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds. Then add in the chili powder, cumin and salt.
Pour in the beans and 1/2 cup of water. Let the beans simmer for 7 minutes.
After 7 minutes turn the heat off and add the juice from a 1/2 lemon. Use a potato masher to break down the beans until they are creamy.
You can also use an immersion blender for an even creamier texture.
This recipe also works great with black beans.
You can watch the video within this blog post to see how easy this recipe is!
You’ll have to check out my nails in the video. I bought Nail Dashes from Red Aspen. I absolutely love them! I never seem to have time to get my nails done plus I don’t want to spend $50 a week. The Nail Dashes are so easy to use plus they cost much less! You can also use them more than once. Everything you need comes right in the box.
They also have awesome makeup. I use the eyeshadow and mascara and love it.

I even love the packaging! 🙂
