I used to love making ham and cream cheese roll ups. I used slices of ham, cream cheese and green onion. It was so simple but so good!
Those were my inspiration for these phyllo cups.
Here’s what you need to make Ham and Cheese Phyllo Cups:
- Mini phyllo shells
- Reduced fat cream cheese
- Cubed ham in water
- Reduced fat shredded cheese (Mexican or cheddar cheese work great)
- Green onions (scallions)
The mini phyllo shells I find at the grocery store in the freezer section by the desserts. They add a crunchy texture which I love and they’re low in points.
You want the cream cheese to be room temperature. It’s much easier to mix the ingredients together when it’s soft.
To make the Ham and Cheese Phyllo Cups you want to add to a large bowl the cream cheese, shredded cheese, ham and green onions. Mix to combine.

Add the phyllo shells to a baking sheet and fill each one with the cream cheese mixture.

Bake them for 7-10 minutes, once the cheese is melted and the shells are cooked.

You can also make this ahead of time. Just make the cream cheese mixture, cover it and keep it in the fridge.
Once you’re ready to make them add the cream cheese mixture to the phyllo shells and bake.
