The Ingredients
- Dill pickle chips
- All purpose flour
- Breadcrumbs
- Egg
- Old Bay seasoning
- Garlic powder
How to Make Fried Pickles
Start by placing the pickle chips on a paper towel. Dab the tops of the pickles with another paper towel.
Whisk the egg in a bowl with the Old Bay Seasoning and garlic powder.
Add the flour to a separate bowl and the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
Line the bowls up flour, egg, then breadcrumbs.
Dip a pickle chip in the flour, then egg, followed by the breadcrumbs. Set the pickle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
To make the pickle chips in the air fryer add them to the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray with olive oil spray.
Set the temperature to 400 degrees F and the time for 8 minutes. Flip the pickles halfway through.
If you’re making the pickles in the oven you will spray the pickle chips with olive oil spray and bake them at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes. Flip the pickles halfway through.
Serve with your favorite sauce or eat them as is.
As far as tracking the points, the recipe calls for 1/2 cup breadcrumbs and 1/2 cup flour. You will only use about 1/4 cup of each so that’s how I calculated the points.
