My favorite side dish at Thanksgiving is stuffing. I love it!
Typically stuffing isn’t the most point friendly food. It’s usually made with quite a bit of butter.
My stuffing recipe eliminates the butter entirely. And guess what…it still tastes good!

Even though there isn’t butter, there is a delicious blend of seasoning plus celery and onion. This gives the stuffing tons of flavor.
Probably the most important part of making stuffing is to dry out the bread. I did this by laying out 10 slices of bread the night before.
I used Sara Lee 45 calorie multi-grain bread. It’s only 1 point per slice. Any 1 point bread will work.
You can also dry out the bread by cutting it into 1/2 inch pieces, then baking it in the oven at 250 degrees for 1 hour.
I used Jennie-O turkey sausage patties for this stuffing recipe. I broke it into small pieces and started to brown it.
When it was partially cooked I added the chopped celery and onion. I let that cook together for 5 minutes.
While that was cooking I started cutting the bread into 1/2 inch pieces.
I stirred the bread into the turkey and added the seasoning.
Instead of drizzling the stuffing with butter I used chicken broth and an egg that I whisked together.
Next I Sprayed a 9×13 baking pan with no-stick cooking spray, then added the stuffing mixture.
I carefully drizzled the chicken broth and egg over the stuffing. You want to make sure you get it onto all of the bread.
This stuffing was baked in the oven covered for 20 minutes, then I uncovered it and let it bake 10 more minutes.
This stuffing recipe was calculated on the Weight Watchers app. For 10 servings it is 3 points per serving for blue, green and purple.
