Air Fried Bananas

These bananas are delicious, and they melt in your mouth.

They’re also zero points! You can eat the banana on its own or pair it with a low point vanilla ice cream.

You can keep it at zero points by topping it with fat-free Reddi Wip instead of ice cream. As long as you have the bananas, you won’t be disappointed.

What is Air Frying?

Air frying is a cooking technique that uses hot air to cook food instead of oil or fat. It involves circulating hot air around the food to create a crispy and delicious texture, similar to deep frying, but with a fraction of the oil.

This is made possible by the air fryer’s heating element and fan, which work together to circulate the hot air evenly throughout the cooking chamber.

The process is simple. You simply place your food in the air fryer basket or tray, making sure not to overcrowd it. The hot air circulates around the food, cooking it quickly and evenly.

The circulating air also helps to remove excess moisture from the food, resulting in a crispy exterior.

Air frying is not only a healthier alternative to traditional frying, but it also saves time and energy.

Since it cooks food faster than conventional ovens, it can significantly reduce cooking times. Plus, there’s no need to preheat the oven, making it an efficient option for quick and easy recipes.

How to make Air Fried Bananas:

The first thing I did was make the cinnamon sugar. I added 1 tablespoon of granulated Splenda and 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to a small bowl and mixed it together.

Next, I cut a banana in half lengthwise. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar over each banana half, I used about 1 teaspoon for each banana piece.

Add the bananas to the air fryer basket. Spray with olive oil spray and cook the bananas at 350 degrees F. for 6 minutes.

Let the banana cool slightly, then eat it warm. It will melt in your mouth!

You will most likely have some cinnamon sugar left over. Save it for the next time you want to make this recipe. Trust me, you’ll want it again!
