I love a good grilled cheese sandwich. It got me to thinking, why not make a grilled cheese breakfast sandwich?

It is a big, filling sandwich for only 5 Freestyle points! And it doesn’t take long to make.
Breakfast is a meal that I never skip. Even if it’s not a typical breakfast food, I still eat something.
For the sandwich I used Sara Lee 45 calorie multi grain bread. It is only 1 point per slice.
The cheese I used was Sargento ultra thin mild cheddar slices. It is only 1 point per slice. I only used one slice for my sandwich, but you could always double it and add an extra point.
I cooked two scrambled eggs, which was 0 points.
You can use either Canadian bacon or ham. I used a ham steak that I cut thin. It was only 1 point.
I made this sandwich similar to how I made my Tuna Melt. I used I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, spray. It is 0 points!
At first I wasn’t sure if the butter spray would crisp the bread like regular butter, but it totally worked!
I sprayed the outer sides of the bread with the butter spray, then started adding my ingredients to the inside. I added the slice of cheese, scrambled eggs and then the ham.
I added it to a preheated frying pan and cooked it for 2-3 minutes on each side, until it was golden brown.
This sandwich is very filling and tastes great. It fills me up until lunch. It also tastes great with a bowl of fruit.

Yield: 1 sandwich (5 points for myWW blue and purple, 8 points for green. For green – if you only use one egg you can reduce the points to 6.)
- 2 slices Sara Lee 45 calorie bread
- 1 slice Sargento ultra thin cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs, scrambled
- 1 slice of ham or Canadian bacon
- I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, spray
-
Spray the outer side of the bread with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, spray. Two to three sprays per slice should work.
-
To the inside of the bread, add the slice of cheese, scrambled eggs and ham.
-
Add the sandwich to a preheated frying pan. Cook each side 2 to 3 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.
