I think one of the reasons Weight Watchers has been successful for so many years is because you can have anything you want. That includes alcohol!!
Now I’m not trying to say it’s healthy or anything like that, but if I want to indulge a little bit I should be able to. Especially in the summer!
Can you believe a classic margarita (6 oz.) is 17 points? That is crazy to me. I used to enjoy a margarita if I was eating out at a Mexican restaurant, but not now. Seventeen points is too much!
I love this Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail. It’s a perfect drink for summer.
I used Raspberry Lemonade Crystal Light and diet 7 Up for the non-alcoholic part. Both of them have 0 Freestyle points.
The points in this cocktail come from the vodka. Why does the good stuff always have to cost points!?
How much vodka you put into your drink is going to determine how many points it is. I have found that being on Weight Watchers I can’t drink as much as I once did. Less food in my tummy means the alcohol hits me quicker.
Now it’s time to do some math. A standard shot is 1.5 ounces which equals 3 tablespoons, and that will cost you 3 Freestyle points.
So .5 ounces equals one tablespoon. Instead of doing the standard 3 tablespoons of vodka (3 Freestyle points) I do 2 tablespoons which equals 2 Freestyle points.
That means this Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail is 2 Freestyle points. I also garnished it with a slice of lemon and a raspberry. It’s cute and makes it look fancy.
