Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean top sirloin steak (cut into half inch strips)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (I used squeeze ginger)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 yellow onion, cut into slices
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 red pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 green pepper, cut into strips

Instructions

  • Add the steak strips to the slow cooker. Then add the garlic, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Put the lid on and cook on low 4 hours.
  • Remove the lid and stir in the cornstarch slurry. Add the green and red peppers. Cover with the lid and cook on high 1 hour.
  • Serve with cauliflower rice, white rice, brown rice or noodles.
