Pizza Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. penne pasta (uncooked)
  • 1/2 lb. 96% lean ground beef
  • 30 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 16 turkey pepperoni
  • Sliced red onion and green pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles until al dente, according to the directions on the box.
  • Brown the ground beef, remove any grease, and add the tomato sauce. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Stir together and bring to a light simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Drain the noodles and add the to the sauce. Pour into a casserole dish and top with the shredded cheese. Add the turkey pepperoni, red onion, and green pepper.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
