Sauteed Cabbage with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 2 slices center cut bacon
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 head of green cabbage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Start by cooking the bacon in a skillet. Once it's cooked remove the bacon. Do not clean out the pan.
  • Add the chopped onion and let that cook for 2 minutes.
  • Cut the cabbage in half and remove the core, then thinly slice the cabbage.
  • Add the cabbage to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Let cook for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Cut the bacon into small pieces then add it back to the skillet.
