Sausage and Peppers (Ten Dollar Meal)

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken sausage links (I used Simple Truth spinach gruyere chicken sausage)
  • 2 bell peppers (I used red and yellow)
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat a pan over medium heat.
  • Cut the bell peppers and onion into slices. Spray the pan with cooking spray and add them to the pan.
  • While that's cooking cut the chicken sausage into bite-size pieces.
  • When the peppers and onion are tender/crisp add the chicken sausage. Season with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken sausage is warm.
  • (The chicken sausage I bought was already cooked so I just needed to heat it through.)
