Pickled Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. fresh green beans
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pickling spices
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Clean and trim the green beans. Add them to a mason jar with the garlic cloves and pickling spices.
  • In a small saucepan add the water, distilled white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil so the sugar dissolves.
  • Set the brine aside and let it completely cool. Pour over the green beans then place the lid on your jar. They taste best if you let them sit for 24-48 hours.
  • Green beans stay fresh for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
