Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. 95% lean ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 oz. elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup reduced-fat Mexican cheese, shredded

Instructions

  • Break up and brown ground beef with the chopped onion. Drain any grease from the ground beef.
  • Add the tomato paste, garlic powder, parsley, paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper. Stir together with the ground beef.
  • Stir in the beef broth, milk and water. Add the macaroni noodles and make sure they are covered by the liquid.
  • Put a lid on the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 12 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Turn off heat and remove the lid. Add the cheese and stir until it is completely melted.
