The Easiest Way to Core & Slice Pineapple

Pineapple is my favorite fruit. The only problem was I used to dread the thought of coring and cutting it up.

That is no longer a problem. I have a work BFF that bought me this pineapple corer, slicer and peeler. It’s life changing! That might be a slight exaggeration, but not really. I’m going to walk you through the process step by step so you can see just how great this gadget is.

The first thing you need to do is chop the top off of your pineapple.

Easy enough! Next you want to insert the pineapple corer, slicer and peeler into the center of the pineapple, or make sure it is over the core of the pineapple:

Now you start turning the pineapple corer, slicer and peeler clockwise. Keep going until you’re at the bottom of the pineapple. Then you simply lift up and pull the pineapple out:

I only went about 1/2 way down my pineapple before I lifted it out. I think I was a little too excited to snap a pic.

Now you need to remove the pineapple from the pineapple corer, slicer and peeler. To do this you just squeeze the two black buttons on the side of the handle and pop it off. Turn the pineapple upside down and it will slide right off. Then you slice it up.

I love that this saves time and it’s so much less of a mess than my old way of cutting up a pineapple.  This is the pineapple corer that I have:
