Ingredients
  • 12 oz. Jennie-O turkey sausage patties
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 10 slices 1 point bread that has been dried out (I used Sara Lee 45 calorie multi-grain bread)
  • 1 cup fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Brown the turkey sausage, breaking it up into small pieces. Add the celery and onion, cook for 5 minutes.

  3. Cut the dried out bread into 1/2" pieces. Add to the turkey sausage with the seasonings and stir together.

  4. Whisk together the egg and chicken broth.

  5. Spray a 9x13 pan with no-stick cooking spray, then add the stuffing mixture.

  6. Slowly pour the egg/broth mixture over the stuffing. Make sure to get all of the bread wet.

  7. Bake covered for 20 minutes, then remove the cover and bake 10 more minutes.
