  • 1 lb. 96% lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 3 splashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the gravy:
  • 2 cups beef broth (reserve a couple of tablespoons)
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 splashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  1. In a large bowl add the ground beef, seasoned breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, egg, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.

  2. Mix the ingredients together then form four oval beef patties.

  3. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.

  4. Remove the patties from the pan and set them aside.

  5. Add the onions to the skillet. Let them cook for 5 minutes or until they're soft. Add in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

  6. In a small bowl mix together the cornstarch and a couple tablespoons of beef broth.

  7. Once the broth starts to simmer, stir in the cornstarch mixture. Let the mixture simmer for 4 minutes or until the gravy is slightly thickened.

  8. Place the patties back in the pan and cook until heated through.
