Shrimp Kabobs

Yield: 12 kabobs (1 kabob is 1 point with blue and purple, or 2 for 3 points. With green each kabob is 2 points.)

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined with the tail on
  • 10 oz. smoked turkey sausage
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper
Instructions
  1. Put the shrimp in a bowl. Add the Old Bay Seasoning, garlic powder and red pepper flakes then stir together.

  2. Cut the smoked turkey sausage into 1/2 inch pieces, then cut each piece in half.

  3. Place one end of the shrimp onto the skewer, then the turkey sausage, followed by the other end of the shrimp. I fit three shrimp and three pieces of sausage on each skewer. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients.

  4. Cook the skewers on a grill pan on the stovetop or on an outdoor grill. Cook until the shrimp is white with some pink on it - about 3 minutes on each side.
