Instant Pot Spaghetti

  • 1/2 lb. 95% lean ground beef
  • 6 oz. spaghetti noodles
  • 1 1/2 cups water, divided
  • 14 1/2 oz. petite diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  1. Add the ground beef to the Instant Pot. Set to saute and brown the beef, breaking it up into small pieces. Turn the Instant Pot off once the beef is browned and drain grease.

  2. Add 1/2 cup water to the Instant Pot. Scrape up any brown bits on the bottom of the pot.

  3. Break spaghetti noodles in half and add to the Instant Pot. Do not stir the noodles!

  4. Pour the tomato sauce and petite diced tomatoes (with liquid) over the spaghetti noodles. Add the dried minced onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Then pour the remaining water over the noodles.

  5. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and lock it. Make sure the lever is set to seal. Press the manual button and set the time for 8 minutes on high pressure.

  6. When the time is up release the pressure immediately, then release the pressure and remove the lid.

  7. Stir the noodles and sauce. Add more salt, if needed.
