"Fried" Pickles

Yield: 30 pickles (6 pickles per serving - 1 point for blue and purple, 2 points for green)

  • 30 dill pickle chips
  • 1/2 cup AP flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  1. Lay pickle chips on a paper towel. Dab the top with another piece of paper towel.

  2. Whisk the egg in a bowl with the Old Bay Seasoning and garlic powder. Add flour to a separate bowl, and breadcrumbs in another. Line them up flour, egg, then breadcrumbs.

  3. Dip a pickle chip in the flour, egg, then breadcrumbs. Set them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all of the pickles are done.

For the air fryer:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Add the pickle chips to the bottom of the air fryer in a single layer. Spray with olive oil spray.

  3. Set the time for 8 minutes. Flip the pickles half way through. Serve with your favorite sauce.

For the oven:
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Spray the pickle chips with olive oil spray. Bake for 15 minutes, flipping half way through. Serve with your favorite sauce.
