This chicken and gravy recipe is an easy recipe for the Instant Pot!

It’s so easy….it really is a dump and go recipe! Simply mix together the ingredients, add it to the Instant Pot and let it cook for 15 minutes. Easy peasy!

There are 4 servings, about 1 cup each. For blue and purple it is 3 points per serving, for green it is 5 points per serving.
I kept this low in points by serving it with riced cauliflower. It was really good!
The ingredients for the gravy mixture is Healthy Request cream of chicken, chicken broth, two packets of chicken gravy and 1 clove of minced garlic.
I whisked all of that together, then added it to the Instant Pot. Next, place the trivet into the Instant Pot, then put the chicken onto that.
One thing I usually do with chicken recipes in the Instant Pot is let them naturally release the steam. Meaning instead of flipping the sealed valve to release the steam I let it happen naturally.

Once the chicken is done cooking remove the trivet and shred the chicken with a fork.
Even if you want to serve the chicken and gravy with rice, it’s still pretty low in points.
Either way, it’s a tasty and filling meal!
This can also be made in the slow cooker. Simply add all of the ingredients to the slow cooker and cook on low 4 hours.

Yield: 4 servings (Blue & purple – 3 points per serving. Green – 5 points per serving)
- 1 (10.5 oz) can Healthy Request Cream of Chicken
- 1 1/2 cups fat free chicken broth
- 2 (.87 oz) packets chicken gravy (I used McCormick's)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, gravy packets and garlic to a large mixing bowl and whisk together.
-
Once whisked, add it to the Instant Pot. Place the trivet into the Instant Pot and place the chicken breasts on the trivet.
-
Place the lid on the Instant Pot and lock it. Make sure the lever is set to seal. Press the manual button and set the time for 15 minutes.
-
Once the time is up let the pressure naturally release for about 15 minutes. Remove the trivet, then shred the chicken with a fork.
-
Serve over cauliflower rice or regular rice. (Points calculated are only for the chicken.)

Can i double this and use same time?
I haven’t tried it but I don’t see why not.
Followed recipe exactly and got burn notice TWICE! Had to finish on the stove and add a jar of gravy to salvage whatever I could of dinner. I haven’t gotten a burn notice in over a year so I’m def not a beginner. I wish this recipe worked.
Oh no! I’m sorry about that. I’ve never gotten a burn notice. There’s more than enough liquid so I’m not sure what could have happened?
I have updated the recipe to use the trivet for the chicken. This will prevent the burn notice. I’m so sorry for anyone this happened to!
OH that’s smart! I’m excited to give that a try next time because this was REALLY yummy, my kids can’t get enough!
This was absolutely delicious!!!! No left overs!
Absolutely loved this dish. I did, however, also get the burn warning. Followed the recipe (doubled it) and even added some liquid. When all was said and done, there was a little scorching on the bottom of the pot that easily cleaned up!
What are the points for Classic WW?
I didn’t have a trivet but if you do broth, chicken, soup, gravy mix and do not stir you won’t get burn notice. When the sauce it too thick it makes to hard to come to pressure and can give you burn notice.
Can you use frozen chicken? How long would you cook it then?
Made twice now. This time burn notice twice (burn notice first time too) and ended up putting it in a casserole and baking in the oven. Delicious but won’t be trying in the instant pot again! Used trivet too!
